ABOUT THE SANFORD GARDEN CLUB
The Garden Club of Sanford, Inc. (also known as the Sanford Garden Club (SGC)) was founded in 1926. It exists primarily to further the education of its members and the public in the fields of gardening & horticulture. The SGC depends on the services of a number of unpaid volunteers to keep functioning. If you would like to volunteer your services, we would love to hear from you.
The Sanford Garden Club's voting membership consists of several plant groups including the Seminole Bromeliad & Tropical Plant Society and the Wildflower Circle. In addition, other plant clubs and societies have met regularly (such as the Cuplet Fern Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society) at the Sanford Garden Club.
SGC provides a low-cost location for plant clubs and societies to have regular meetings. With the commercialization of non-profit gardens, it has become increasingly difficult for plant clubs and societies to find locations to conduct their meetings. The Sanford Garden Club does it best to help fill this void. If your plant club or society is looking for a place to hold its meetings, we would like to hear from you.
SEMINOLE BROMELIAD & TROPICAL PLANT SOCIETY
Meets the third Sunday of every month at 2:00 PM with speakers, plant sales, plant raffles and more.
